I've been thinking about removing the x5 badge. I think it looks a little small and most other models just have the m550i or m850i on the right and nothing on the left. What do you guys think?

I think that would look better. I'm not a huge fan of full debadging a car, but I can definitely see dropping the X5 logo on the M50i.

I have never de-badged, but I think it would look good. So how do you get it off without hurting the paint?

Agree. Exactly what I used when I did it myself. I now get the dealer to remove them before delivery.

Use a hair dryer to heat up the badge and slowly pull off. Most of the adhesive will come off just rubbing it with your finger once heated too.

I am more of a all black badge look. Symmetry might be a issue with just eliminating one side. It also depends on the color as there is a lot of painted real estate back there to not have any badges.

Here is a tutorial I did for “black badge install”

I like badging, let's the world know what you got. I find the majority of de-badgers are the lower level models.

Know what you mean but aside from the Xs the majority of the BMW range is only badged with the model designation on the right
