Does anyone know how to program both key fobs to be identical? My fob #1 is not working properly so I want to start using fob #2, but it defaults to all the originally settings, and fob#1 has 2+ years of tweaks and settings programmed. How do I have #2 mimic #1?

Wouldn’t this be done just like if you are the next owner of the vehicle after you’ve sold it. The next owner will go into iDrive to save the profile for the key...which will then overwrite the settings you had.

If this doesn’t make sense...then turn to the section of your owners manual (physical or the one built into iDrive) for how to save a remote fob profile.

Also, if you saved your settings to open of the seat memory buttons...you should be able to return everything to how you had it set...and if you have the 2nd remote...when you turn the engine off/lock/unlock the vehicle...it should have saved that same setting to the remote.
