Can't wait! see you guys later

UPDATE: got the truck coded. things done were:
no more No Seatbelt warning sound,
window can go up or down when you open the door,
exhaust flap is open always,
start up on sport mode.
*We were able to unlock the screen mirroring to be on while driving but I am having trouble getting the phone to mirror on the main screen. I have to read about it some more.*
The 2 screens are now how the M models are including the M start up screen.
Close tailgate from inside and remote
foglights on with highbeam
foglights on with parking lights
I did not get a chance to play with the ambient lighting.

Any help with the mirroring would be helpful.

For ppl who may concern, I was able to successfully code my 11/2020.42 with Android BimmerCode using ENetCable. I did:

5 Turn signal
No horn sound when locking the car while engine is running
ASS memory
Comfort Plus
Assisted Driving View
Start in Adaptive mode
Close tailgate from inside without long press
video in motion
Fog lights on with high beam
Tire temperature a pressure

I think he means the Assisted Driving View. It was not available on the 2019s but can be coded.

Is it like updating the motherboard BIOS? (If there are no problems personally with your computer, is it better not to update the BIOS.) It's sad. I immediately updated OBD MX + when I bought it. But now everything is working stably. I use BimmerLink all the time.

Well, it wasn't a pervasive issue on MX+ and seemed to have been fixed, but read this and few posts after it (in this very same long thread): https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=26250549

When I coded mine again with BC I noticed that there's a 2nd "Auto start stop function" option below the memory option. Is this to permanently disable ASS?

Auto Start Stop function memory
Auto Start Stop function <- this one

My apology if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything from the app search.

That was recently added to handle the MY21s that don't have an ASS button, it permanently disables the ASS system.

For some reason I couldn’t get it to work on my 2021 X3M40i with all of the options. Can you help?

Strictly speaking, this ADV coding discussion is related to G05 and its direct derivatives, rather than G01 and its derivatives. It may not be possible on G01/F97 and, in fact, another hint of that is that MY2020 and MY2021 G05 don't even need coding to enable ADV — that was really just for MY2019 G05 where BMW for some reason had decided to deprive us early adopters of this then-new cosmetic toy display function.

But we can have a little deeper look. Your car is F97, correct? What is your car's build date? What I-STEP (aka "software version")? Have you ever heard or seen anyone else with F97 with ADV? Have you successfully coded anything else with Bimmercode (or otherwise)? Did you find all 4 indicated FDL parameters in the Expert mode list of the DKOMBI ECU?

We'll get into option codes on the car and a VIN number (privately) to generate the NCD files for that model and have a look after above first set of checks are cleared out.

Anyone knows how to code automatic brightness adjustment for main screen, so it stays allwayes on maximum? The problem is that i got front windows tinted and when it is shunny outside, the main screen goes really dark (lоw brightness). If i open the window screen goes lighter.. but it is damn freezy outside most of the time, cant drive with open windows all the time )))..

Hi Jerzey,

How did you code exhaust flap open always? I have never heard this is possible...

Also has anyone else experienced the ability to use the OBD MX+ with an iPhone without pressing the start/stop button 3 times? When I linked mine up it was automatically done for me and flashed "diagnostic mode" in the instrument cluster.

I remember reading that the newer version did not require pressing the button three times. I have not tried it yet though.

Don’t believe anyone has it figured out yet. I tried a ton of things the other night and didn’t get anywhere. Stuff that worked in other cars had no effect on the G05.

Can anyone explain why we'd need to have: Display Options iDrive: Cover Artwork?

I use both Apple CarPlay and music files loaded to the HD and both have album art appear when playing. Am I missing an additional feature?
