3" drop with 24" wheels? Are you planning on driving this thing or just parking it for photos? (don't get me wrong, I would love to see this)
You'll need to go with air suspension if you want to go that low on a suv.

Do you have wheel spacers installed as well? So your saying its at max lowered on rear yet you have another 13mm to go if you wanted to on the fronts.? How long did the change over of the complete set of springs take? |

I am going to put it together once I have the X5MC in. Still trying to find the time to have the car in. But, quick answer. Yes, max on the rear adjuster. No spacer since customer have wheels on order. Based on my measurement, 25mm all around for the spacer. Installation wise, about 4-5 hours.

Ok, so now my tuner says he cannot tune it as of this moment.
Options? jb4 racechip bootmod I didn't see anything on bootmod's website...so uncertain if accurate. What is currently the best option out there? Is flash tuning going to happen or no? I keep hearing "a matter of time" but whats that mean...weeks? months? years? |

So, you'll need to remove the ECU from the car and ship it to the tuner. While JB4 and RaceChip are piggy back, so it will work regardless the ECU encryption.

i get that people can tun it, but supposedly any tune you do automatically stamps your car as being tuned in bmws system...ie you dont even need to need service etx and they will already know your car is tuned. accurate?

Ok so,
First, you're not going to lower anything beyond the MSS kit unless you decide to partner up with some company to make some custom arms for this car, and a suspension company like MCS or if you are keen to air, airlift to make a kit for this platform. This means money, and downtime. Alternatively, it's pretty easy to make custom control arms if you know where to source your heims and calculate the geometry you're going for. 7075 aluminum isn't cost prohibitive. Second, yes I'm sure you can fit some big heavy wheels on the platform. HRE markets their chinese sourced blanks the best. Signature, BC Forged and the litany of other companies do the exact same thing. (If you don't believe me ask them how their blanks are made and for certifications from the factory they're made, oh shit it's from Shenzen!) You can also just go to alibaba and get the same thing. Do keep in mind that the OEM tires are 35 height and the rears are 30, so going to a 24 means even with a 25 side wall hight it's still gonna be off from OEM. a 23 would be doable (25 front 30 rear preserving OEM height ratios) Next, as you discovered you can't run the primary cat deletes yet because there is no tuning available for our cars because the DME hasn't been cracked yet. I personally would avoid stuff like the racechip or the jb4 until a proper flash tune is released, but if I had to pick I'd do the JB4. You can add water meth. You will have to wait for proper tuning for ethanol mixtures.
