SiriusXM stopped working

Figured I'd ask here first since I won't be able to take it to dealer anyway until next year.

My SiriusXM channels have disappeared, and when I go to the right panel and click subscribe it shows a blank radio ID. Has anyone seen this before? I tried restarting iDrive a couple of times to no effect, so I'm guessing it's a hardware issue.

The other radios - FM, bluetooth, wifi - all work normally.

If the other radios work the problem is likely Sirius. Good idea to contact them and verify radio ID and account.

Everything looks fine when logging in to Sirius, the car radio ID however is not shown in the car as I mentioned in OP - it is blank, so it appears to be a car problem of some sort.

You might try this:

https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefr...#/refreshradio

Or just give Sirius a call to sort it out. If they can't, you know it's a car problem. Little time lost, and I'd certainly try that before I left my car at the dealer. If you contact your dealer and get a "duh," you still don't know if it's a car problem or a vendor problem.

Thanks - I tried that to no effect.

No, I haven't had time to take it to dealer. Likely will wait until 6k service. Please let me know if you get a resolution before I do, and I'll update this thread once I do.

I wonder if you have the same problem I was having.. when you're on the XM radio, are you able to see all the channels but no sound from the speakers, Or just Channel 1 displays?

In my situation, all the XM channels would display, and I could see the graph of the volume/synthesizer moving up/down like it was playing, but had no sound coming from the speakers, though AM/FM and bluetooth from my phone would play just fine through the speakers. Basically, after about 4 hours at the Stealership, the last thing they did was disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnected, which somehow magically allowed XM to finally work properly.

No, I have 0 channels, and no SiriusXM ID. It's as if there is no XM antenna in the car.

I had the same issue... I fixed it by "resetting" the radio system. Hold in the volume knob button for 30 seconds. Give it a try...

My SiriusXM did not show at all, so perhaps you have a similar issue. I could see it as a source in the list of sources to show, but I could never actually use it as an audio source.

Dealer had to fix it, seems like a a module update or some reset, as they did not upgrade the vehicle itself (remains on xx.2019).

Finally took it to the dealer who said they needed to reset software due to some recall. I didn't care enough to try understanding the details.

Just had the problem yesterday. Thank you so much for the fix. Worked perfectly. Saved a trip to the dealer and hours of waiting
