So pet peeve of mine is not being able to use The supplied tabs from the OEM BMW.

Seems the screws are getting smaller and smaller on BMWs.

I have been trying to locate a longer coarse threaded screw to fit the attached caps. Has anyone had success finding or figuring a solution to this first world problem.

I mounted a BMW slimline frame on the rear of my car and the screws are holding the black covers and plate on securely

i usually go to Ace Hardware.. you should easily be able to find what you need.. if not and you can figure out what exact thread size that is and what size you need there are lots of vendors online where you can buy hardware.. another one of my favorites is https://www.mcmaster.com/

The license plate base mount that came with the car (my car at least) sucked. Screws into soft plastic not to mention the screws that were provided were too long and would have damaged the paint if I had used them.
