What are your dream custom vehicle builds?

I see cars around and I always think of what craziness could I do with that. So lets assume money is no object, what would you build? Engine swaps, or purist builds...just curious what would you make?

One of mine for example:

1991 Pathfinder
VQ37 swap with supercharger
Big break kit
Air ride suspension

OR

1991 E30
S65 V8 & 6spd swap

Range Rover Classic 1987, total renovation of the frame and repaint in gloss dark blue. Paint engine bay in candy-Apple red and use oem drivetrain rebuilt for reliability. Aftermarket radiator and no self leveling suspension. Body paint and interior totally redone to like new in original colors.

Early 1980’s Mercedes 450 SLC totally taken to showroom condition. If a modern AMG engine would fit I’d go that route.

4th or 5th Generation Honda Civic pumped up to 300-horsepower and with a racing dialed in suspension for road use.

A few years ago I was invited to the unveiling of the Guntherwerks 400R and witnessed my dream come true: A 993 restomod that looked and performed as good or better than the 993 GT2 with modern touches. It's basically a 993 GT3RS and it's "only" $525k (plus a 993 donor car)

Design and build something myself, from scratch. Even if I had all the money, it'd never reach completion. I'd always find something to change and faff and tinker with.

That or get carried away shoehorning the wrong engines into unsuitable vehicles.

The safari and south hampton Singers that just came out are pretty damn sweet. Slightly more reasonable $ would be that secret M5 wagon.

On the more affordable end of the spectrum would be an E46 M3 wagon build.

Alfaholics have basically built it, 105 series Giulia, naturally aspirated 2 litre with a shit ton of revs. I'd consider dropping Alfa's glorious 2.5 litre V6 in there too.

Dream build? I would very much like to drop the McLaren F1 v12 into my e30

My gf's dad has a '94 pathfinder I've wanted to maybe resurrect some time in the far future, but I was thinking of tossing in an RB instead. But I realize there are probably far better options available

Cummins turbo diesel Tesla 90D

But seriously, I would love to see an old 8series with an s85 v10 under the hood, or an s65 1 series hatch.

So many restomod 1 off choices out there.. unfortunately they're all priced as such. Sick of seeing the new "smart tech" and ugly styling forced on people across the board. Give me my "stupid" car that is enjoyable to drive.

You could probably get away with an RB but I was going for driveabilty with that one...nothing too crazy. I figure due to the weight, 4-500hp would make that thing a complete beast & total sleeper.

Maybe I still have a passion for old JDM metal

Hakosuka, mild wide body, slammed, RS Wats, Bride Histrix seats
Mazda Cosmos Sport, lowered, but on some 70s rare as fack JDM wheels, Bride Histrix seats
NA MX-5, black, pitcrew nose and tail, SSR MK1 in 15s, Mazdaspeed C Spec 2.0, chrome hard dog rollbars, corns seats, and then track it
Toyota FJ40, painted yellow, raised, big tires

Nice setups! I love some JDM toys as well.

I'd roll in a 1971 2000 GTR Skyline, upgrade the motor to an RB26DETT (NO EXTRA MODS), full exhaust, lowered on coils and classic Watanabe wheels.

an AE92 Corolla with a 4A-GZE with ITBs, slammed, and also Watanabes...they compliment this car so well

I would also love to build another 7th Gen Galant. I want a JDM verson VR4 model though. Comes with a twin turbo V6, AWD and manual trans. I'd upgrade the turbos for sure, full 3" exhaust, dropped on coils, and some wheels...not sure which though.

One of the many off the top of my head:

Plymouth Prowler with 2JZ swap.

Saw a build thread on Supra forums years ago of a guy doing it, and it always stuck with me.
