ESYS on Mac Big Sur & Parallels

Can anyone help me figure out on Parallels how to create a bridged connection?

I am not getting ESYS to recognize my car when plugged in although parallels app asks me to which system (Mac OS or Windows) to connect to.

I'm using an Ethernet to USB-C adapter on my 15" MacBook Pro running Big Sur.

Any help would be appreciated on debugging this.

Thanks

Thanks - this is helpful.

The screen shown on that link is exactly what I get when I plug in the cable which means that the laptop does recognise it.

But even when I choose Windows 10, nothing happens, even after a few minutes of waiting - ESYS does not detect the car.

I remember reading that ESYS couldn't be used with a Mac and Paralells, that could have been bad/old information though.

I'm not sure on Esys specifically, but i can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I run a Windows 10 VM in Parallels for all my coding, that's ISTA, Forscan, everything i've ever needed.

Your network should just be set to "shared network", that will allow it to function just as it was plugged into the network.

And would you know how to set up "shared network" as it doesn't seem to be the case... I plugged and unplugged several times.

Power down the VM and go into the settings, go to Network, shared/bridge etc all there in the drop-down.

Man, please help me with setup network, I've already installed windows 11 via parallels 18, then installed ISTA D 4.39.20 and E-SYS 3.40.2 but I can't connect to the car.

Windows network setup is:

IPv4 address: 169.254.1.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

What else?
