2021 40i w/3rd row, FULL cargo liner/mat fitment?

Hello,

I'm expecting to receive my 2021 40i in about a month and would like to know if a FULL cargo liner for G05 X5 will fit a model with 3rd Row seating with the seats down?

Basically, with the 3rd row seats in the down position, is the cargo area floor space pattern the same as model with no 3rd row seat?

Thanks in advance for you input.

It fits, but it's not a perfect fit. No issues using it though and it's not too loose, it seems to be just a tad wide so it doesn't slide around once you push it into place.

ND40oz,

Appreciate the information. Just out of curiousity, may I ask which brand you are using for your cargo liner?

Sorry, I was referring to the BMW cargo mat.

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/6...ompartment-Mat

You want the Vehicles WITHOUT 3rd Row Seating & Storage Package version.

I have read somewhere that the third row seatbelts might be an issue for the fit of the rubber mat for the second row only models.

I don't have a third row so not from personal experience.

The seatbelts stay pretty flush against the side panels, so you don't have to move them to put it in. They may be the reason everything is a little tighter though. When I first dropped it in, I had to push down on the sides to kind of wedge it in there and it really hasn't moved since.

I have oem bootliner when 3rd row seats are down. It fits OK ish. I also have oem bootliner (smaller) for use when the 3rd row is up. I put the smaller bootliner on top of the bigger bootliner when 3rd tow seats are up.

KRS_SN,

"I put the smaller bootliner on top of the bigger bootliner when 3rd tow seats are up."

Do you mean that you leave the large cargo liner in the car when the 3rd row is up? Let the large mat fold 90 degrees (against the 3rd row seats) then place the small cargo mat on top of it?

Just trying to picture your last sentence.

I ordered the small cargo liner from WeatherTech but then realized that I'll probably have the 3rd row down 95% of the time... So will need to order a large cargo liner that fits well for models with 3rd row

yes you are right. I have the boot liner for a 5 seater and a 7 seater and the 7 seater liner sits on top of the 5 seater liner when I drive around mostly as a 5 seater. But when I need 7 seats I take out the 5 seater liner and leave the 7 seater liner in.
I like my car spotless so covered all bases.
If anyone needs pics of bootliner etc let me know.

KRS_SN,

May I ask which brand you have for the 5 seat cargo mat and how it fits with 7 seat /down?

ND40oz mentioned OEM 5 seat fits okay on 7 seat. Just checking my options.

Thank you.

both my 5 seat and 7 seat liners are oem. The oem 5 seat one fits ok on the 7 seat configuration with the last 2 seats down. When I put stuff in the boot it stays put. No rolling or noise or smell. Good luck.
