Individual Colors cost? Need Allocation?
Hi all, I am still config my LCI X5MC. leaning to Frozen Pure Grey. How does the Individual BMW color choice work? Anyone how much a IND color selection is? the Frozen Pure Grey is $3600. Do you need a special allocation for the IND color like with Porsche? I think a Chalk X5MC would look great. just not sure how much above the Frozen Grey cost would be.
thanks

Individual colors are $5k (not counting the "standard individual" ones like Dravit Grey that are $1950) A special allocation isn't needed, but they generally have to be approved by BMW and will be scheduled for painting at their convenience. So they typically quote an extra 12 weeks lead time on top of whatever the normal amount might be. There's an extensive list of what the X5 plant can paint somewhere here on the forum - it's about 40 different hues.

Thing is with frozen paints you pretty much have to factor in FULL PPF if you get that color because any scratches/marks/swirls/nicks can not be fixed since you can't polish it at all.

My SA told me there is a hold on orders with "special" IND colors. Going for the Frozen Pure and already factored in the full PPF. My '20 M50i was totally wrapped. I love it as paint looks fresh and no major issues.
