From what I've read, the automatic cover, while undeniably fun and convenient, was not terribly reliable and tended to rattle. Looks like they've brought it back (or never lost it?) for non-USA markets.
Now, I would really like to have the retention/mobility "stripes" in the floor and the cargo nets on each side even if we can't get the auto-cover. But that's not in the cards for USA either. |

I have them in mine here in NZ, they are standard as is the parcel shelf auto system. |

I have this on my 2020 F95. It rocks, except the wife always forgets to disengage “auto” mode and ends up close-lining stuff that sits above the cover. Luckily it’s easy to fix if it goes off the rails.
The rubber strips at the bottom are also connected to motors and they move up to grab your cargo in certain scenarios. Mine are under a cargo tray/liner, so I have no idea if they work. I believe it was all part of the Canadian cargo (storage?) package.

The US market seems to not be fond of this option which I personally think is really cool

We really weren't given much of a chance to like it or not. 2020 only, at least on the G05/6 F95/6. I suspect it was a victim to supply shortages and just never brought back for the same reason.
