I see. Yea, you need to get it inspected. Never had issue on those that I've installed.

I know this post is a little stale, but I just read through the whole thing again. I don't see anywhere that is listed for the max and min lowering available with this setup. I only see the preferred settings of 0mm up in front and 10mm up in rear. What does that translate to in amount of lowering? Has anyone actually measured it? I can't seem to get any info from the MSS site right now either. Thanks.

Anything on this? I’ve had the clicking sound since dropping it and when I brake and take my foot off the brakes the car rolls forward a slight bit then stops. Drives me absolutely crazy, thinking about just raising it back up to stock

Sounds like installation on the clicking.
The rolls forward, not so sure.

with the MSS spring setup, do you still have access to the in car menu to adjust from comfort, sport, sport-plus? Or is that button ignored...

what does it actually do? Ha..no idea.

Yes, you still have those.
It is your shock setting.

Mileage report from anyone? I’m at 13k have some wearing on the insides of mainly my front tires due to some camber. Anyone else have this issue? Any thoughts on correcting it?

Think this is par for the course since you changed the suspension geometry to even more negative camber. Only solution, depending on who you ask, is to swap out the front upper control arms with units from the X5 M50I.

Has anyone done this on a F95 with any success?

A few guys did.
Some are sceptical about it.
I may give it a shot on my XM once I finalized the suspension setup.

50mm is what they claimed and advertised number.
But, based on my testing and measurement, it only give about 1.25” drop from initial install. Probably after settled, it would go to 1.5”.

And all of them they I’ve sold and installed in house are the same outcome.

Thank you, I love how I can count on you to chime in here. It's hard to get info on the F96 platform.

Im running all season tires, lowered and reporting that I got 13k miles out of the rears and they need replacing.. inside of the rear tires are bald. the Fronts are on their way and just about bald. So if your lowered replacing tires will be a way of life while having lowering springs.

I know. However, a solution/upgrade to the vehicle by one of the many aftermarket suspension companies out there should be available. Yes, I know Ben figured out we can use parts from another vehicle to make it less aggressive, nut it would be nice to have more adjustability. This has been preached over and over, but forgive me because I just need to vent. Its ridiculous that I cant have adjustment for suspension on a BMW vehicle designated with a M!!

I think bagging the truck would allow that full versatility to have it go to your stock ride height then lower when desired on the fly. But I understand that the average forum goers wouldn't want to spend the money to ride on air or want that equipment in the vehicle.

Did you do the alignment after lowering?
It will not eliminate the negative camber completely, but will definitely help with tire lifespan.
Considering that the new set of tires is >$2K, over time, lowering will become an expansive modification.

Of course. In fact, I had the shop only drop the X5M to the point where the camber would not immediately destroy the tires.

My last set lasted over 25K miles. However, this is still reducing the tires life by half at least depending on the tire. I am running Nitto 420V tires. Please no one start about Michelin this, Michelin that. I am not buying them.

Yes, it is the problem that continues to plague this chassis!!!! A manufacture needs to make a SOLUTION to those that want to mod.
