Not to disagree with you, but where are you getting this information?

Racechip GTS dynos at 699/699 at the wheels, which is about 800 at the crank, using a conservative 15% loss. Are you telling us everyone with a mild tune/piggy back is on borrowed time?

I’ve had a tuner tell me to limit it to 600rwhp as they throw rods and bend cranks.
Another tuner said he’s got a couple running a touch more but said they can break.

I have spoken to companies such as GPower directly in Germany. Considering the person I spoke with was a former engineer @ BMW M Group, I took his work for it.

However, here is a link for your reading pleasure from a rather reputable source in regard to the S633tu. Minor changes but very similar issues shared.

Rather than sourcing parts, machining and specialty tools needed and/or labor elsewhere. You are better off to find a good used engine or a built engine. More cost effective for sure.

However, if you have the expertise and know how for taking on such a endeavor and have the infrastructure, sourcing and rebuilding may be in the cards.

Again, I have yet to see anyone on this forum or others with a TRULY BUILT S63 in an X5M.

It would be sick to see!

Looking to rebuild the engine before I blow it apart but the only place I’ve heard of wants 65k for a forged build 😳

It’s 10k-15k worth of parts and labour…

Wouldn’t spend a cent with that shop based on the comments I’ve read here either.

Lol....ok man. There is another suggestion below provided for you. Come on let's go! Do it! I want to see one of these X5M's sent to the moon! Really curious about what the transmission, transfer case and drive shafts can handle! Woooooo!

I guess the engine cover is not required, no issue running without it. No doubt the intake plus engine cover will be sweet but total price has got to be around $4k. Thoughts?

It's Eventuri....I already know it is going to be EXPENSIVE! I just hope they can show the benefits, BUT at least the quality will be there. Either way, we all know the money to performance gain will NEVER be equal when looking solely at a intake alone.

I am actually VERY surprised that they as a company are pursuing our platform in general which is commendable. However, to justify the r&d and low production as compared to other more popular platforms, us few must PAY!

I’ll be “paying to play” when it comes to this mod. Went the cheaper route with some other mods (dinan cat back vs Akra) so I got some fuel in the tank to add the flare.

Not to be argumentative - But stock it likely already puts out more than 600 awhp (which is harder on an engine than 600 rwhp) already? Are you sure this applies to the newer s63tu4 engines? (I only ask because I don't know that anyone has thrown a rod or otherwise blown an engine yet).

I believe that if these intakes have better sound compared to the dinan system the owners with the dinan system will be selling theirs.

This is on a XM. But still, dare I say it's a "close" representation.
