They published their top 200 singers list today and she wasn’t on it. I saw the article on TMZ.

Pretty stupid to not include her considering who else is on the list.

Does anyone know how lists like these are made? It’s ridiculous they allow personal biases to come into play

Just like your comments on the Mona Lisa, everyone’s view of art/artists is totally subjective, there is no way to remove biases in making a list like this. Why they didn’t add Celine, I have no answer for that.

Lists like these shouldn’t exist in the first place.

But when you include Billie Eilish in it instead of Céline Dion (or any other singer), you know you really fucked up.

I get that but there comes a point where someone’s achievements / fame / legacy can’t be ignored.

Celine is like Charles Barkley, but I get your point. Still not a top 200 NBA list if Barkley isn’t in it.

I didn’t see Shania Twain, Laura Pausini, Tina Turner (this one must be there and I just missed it), or Gloria Stefan.

I did see Billie Eilish, did I mention that?

Sade is also way too low at #51. For her not to be top 25 at least is borderline criminal.

That’s why I said lists like these shouldn’t exist. Exactly because of the ordering… it’s impossible to grade folks like this.

Yeah, it must be. RollingStone has been off for awhile but this is just ridiculous and I think they’re doing it for clicks, like you said. Hopefully no one ever buys their trash magazine again.

I’m also so sick of Adele being considered high on lists like these - she is overrated

BTW, if you don't like this RS list, wait a few years, and they'll provide one you might like better. Or not!

P.S. Janis was significantly better live than she ever was on a recording. You had to be there and see her in person to get what was on offer.
