Brake jobs are always a cash cow for dealerships but super easy for any DIY person. I’ll even be bleeding the brakes and they don’t normally do it.

Yeah, for $28 I’d let them do it too.
Absolute. It is actually surprising a simple job, a dirty job tho. I also found most of the time, I don't need brake for both axles. So I don't bother setting up quickjack. Just use floor jack and stands, do 1 axle.

I think brake fluid is more demanding in a sense that having the ability to have all 4 off at the same time is very convenient

The included maintenance plan (in the US) includes a brake fluid flush at the 3 year mark.

This is the future. The service dept is often the cash cow for dealers. With the advent of EVs service and maintenance is drastically reduced. I predict dealers will be offering and recommending lots of services above and beyond what is needed.

Yeah, 2 big issues for me letting a shop do it though, nicking up my wheels and torquing the lug nuts too tight. I'm so anal about it if I let a shop do it I'm going straight home and re-torquing the lug nuts. Yeah, I have issues....

I am not too far behind. For jobs that I can do, I kind of believe I can do better than dealers and typical tire shops. And the time for me to make appointment and drive to dealers/shops, I am already done. But since kids, I start to let go. Still very few will touch my E39 and E82 with my present. I definitely have issue too. Wife keeps telling me I should sell one of them
