I never understood the point of people complaining about gas mileage on these cars.

Whenever I'm in the Ghost or 458, people ask me about gas mileage. I personally don't check what I'm averaging, so I just say around 18mpg. They get all frazzled and shit. They get even more frazzled when I tell them how much I drive.

It's a car guy thing I guess. Too me, fuel economy isn't as important as the overall experience. Yes, it suck sometimes that I have to fill up multiple times a week. But, I don't mind as my cars make me happy. Plus, they are the reason I'm able to drive and maintain them.
I totally agree! I don't care about gas mileage. I have no control over gas prices and I need to drive places, so I don't even think about it.

Right?! LOL so trivial.

What's interesting to me is that someone actually wants to know the mileage on cars like those. It's almost like people looking at my sleeve and going "whoa, that's a lot of tattoos... did they hurt?" Like STFU n00b.
It's weird. More often now then ever. People seem to be more interested in the average than the performance. Then, they try and lecture me on the subject while in waiting for the tank to fill.

Sigh

If I cared about gas mileage, I probably wouldn't keep a car in NYC.

The car, to me, is a tool and a form of release from all the shit daily life throws at me.

My average is 5, due to constant bouncing off the rev limiter at lights and pedal to the floor to get where need to be.

Mine does have the LED tails. It's a 2014 MY. Noob. But they changed the design of the tails for the facelifted Mk6 in 2015, I believe? There are three different GLIs in the Mk6 generation. It's really annoying.

I tuned my car at ~8k miles and the clutch went at 13k. I'm guessing it's power related but I was wondering if it was defective because the throw out bearing went bad which caused everything else to fuck up. That's what the dealer told me. I didn't care at the time. I had a track event two weeks later and just wanted my shit fixed in time. This was all before I owned the E46.

Do the Colorado, man! That is the best looking truck Chevrolet has made in years.

1 gallon of gasoline has approximately 1.32e+8 joules of energy.

306 watt hour is approximately 1.10e+6 joules.

Through math, I'm getting roughly 120mpg

So angry. Surely there is a store close by that sells batteries.

Or, you could live vicariously though my bike with your namesake, which i'll be humping (in a way) up and down the trail this afternoon. haha

I'm not a pick up truck kind of guy. So my opinion would be biased.

Aatish - I get 50+ in my MK6 TDi

Verbiage - Once VWoA determines how much I'll get for a buyback...it is highly likely this will be added to the stable...will be sad to see the Tacoma go however.

Aatish - I have a Touareg TDi now putting down 600+ TQ, plus the MK6 TDi.

If I get an X5 - it'll be a X5M.

The X5d cannot be optioned with M Sport goodies...
