Same here. I just ordered the last day of November so I’ll likely have access to the best rates between November through February. Hoping that they improve at least a little between now and then.

Looks like 2k Finance incentive again on the 2020 X5 40i (in the DC area at least). Haven't looked beyond that yet though.

Nice job, chambers is stingy with 5.5% off by default, others hit or miss around our market for aggressive pricing.

All those BU kids that just want it no matter the pricing...

nice to have 1/4mill in school paid and a $900k 1br condo from mom n dad

Ya I know, 1br on a 2nd FL brownstone is roughing it but it builds character

Gotta go out of Boston for 10% off with base rates, Norwood, Peabody or shrewsbury all within an hour drive

Nashua NH too, they were aggressive

I got 6 bmws since 2002, all different dealers around eastern Massachusetts and 1 in CT, shop around your previous dealer may or may not be aggressive anymore.

In short: shop around, pricing can be thousands of dollars different between 2 dealers not hundreds

2020 40i x drive not having a lease cash incentive other than loyalty blows my mind Then again it's probably the most popular model not needing it to move units

I live in tennessee but I want to engage other dealers for a competitive quote. Let's say I get one, what sales tax/tax rates will I be paying? Will I pay whatever rate is going for the dealer in the state I purchase from or will I always be paying my tennessee sales tax rate?

The way it works in most, if not all, states you pay no sales tax when you purchase it out of state and then pay your applicable home state tax rate when you register it.

I’m starting the negotiation process for a custom build X5 40i with DC area dealers. Would love some tips & tricks over PM if anyone has them.

This is how I understand it.

Or the dealer can ask where the car will be registered and they can charge you the tax for your particular state at the time of the sale. That's what my dealer did when I lived in DC. I bought my TSX in Maryland, but lived in VA - they simply just charged me the VA taxes.

Yes, you will always pay Tennessee sales tax rate and additional county taxes (TN county you live in) for any vehicle purchase out of state.

This +1. Leased from dealer in Maryland and paid VA sales taxes, state registration and fees.

I just learned this today! I’m getting absurdly high quotes. Might be best to wait for next month?

My SA said he didn’t see lease credit for SDrive. He also said it doesn’t lower cap cost...can someone explain?

He is wrong. You negotiate the selling price and then once you agree on that then you would take the lease credit off that price to start calculating the cap cost.
