current software for 12-2018 build
I have my x5-50i set to go in next monday for service and software updates. She said i needed two updates. I ask what version they were going to use and she was unsure so ask the service manager.I told her i thought it should be a nov-19 update. she said they didnt have them listed that way.
My question is should i be expecting to get the most current build or are the updates dependent on the build date of the car? |

I just got mine back this past Saturday from my 1 year maintenance. 4 Recalls were completed (including the backup camera fix which is a software only update), Oil and fluids, tire rotation, and a full iDrive software update. I am now at 7-2019.70. I thought I might get the 11 release but not so.
Not sure which one you will get as it seems to be a moving target but at some point I assume they will release an 11 or 12 2019 version. |

You should get the most current released version no matter when your vehicle was built. While 11/2019.xx has been out for awhile I don't remember seeing any US members receiving it so you will probably get the 07/2019.70 version.

I got 11/2019.34 this last Monday, so that's the standard version here in Australia.
So far proving to be very stable, some interesting animation for ADV in the instrument cluster with a green hover box around the car showing when you're diverting from your lane - very cool. |

update
i got the 11-19-40 update. Had to reset a lot of stuff and am still having trouble with the phone. It says i need to have the key in the car to use these options. Obviously the key is sitting there. I also dont see the corner or turn lights working while driving home tonight. |

Corner lights definitely work on 11/2019.40 with laser lights. it has been for quite a bit. I never really remember them being inactive though in the US?

Auricom thanks for the reference. It's weird, I had a 04/19 build, but feel like mine were always active...i have the icon adaptive LEDs w/ LL too. Maybe I never noticed, but good to know! thanks again.

Your’s would have probably come with them activated since that occurred with an early version of 03/2019.xx, I think 35
