Question: LEIB CAN MIL DELETE issue

I have Evolution Raceworks Catted DP on my 2023 X5 40i.
I also have the LEIB installed and I don’t get a CEL anymore.
Problem: Seems my emissions readiness monitors get reset all the time so despite getting ‘ready’ state after driving, when I turn the car off and on after about 30 minutes, the readiness monitors are back to not ready
Anyone using LEIB have this issue??? I can’t pass damn state inspection…

That is how it is supposed to work.
It keeps deleting CEL code for the aftermarket downpipe so your car will never complete the readiness cycle.
You don't see the CEL but you will not pass emission.
You need to put back stock downpipe or try to find O2 spacer that might work with your.

Aw crap. Then this is definitely not what I was hoping for. How come others on here have had no CEL with same DP? This is so frustrating.

How do others on here with catless DPs then pass sate inspections with emissions controls requirements?

Correct Procedure if you want to pass state inspection with a Catted DP:
1. Follow the steps as per Field Test Procedure BMW Drive Cycle.
2. After driving the required 15minutes at 55-60mph, check your readiness monitors using something like CARLY or OBD Fusion.
3. IF the above reads "ready for inspection", keep driving until you reach the inspection station.
4. Do NOT turn off the car. Keep it running.
5. Have them pull in the car, attach their OBD II scanner, and voila. You pass the test.

** If after the test the CEL returns and gets deleted, WHO CARES!

Hope this helps those who like myself, had to try three times and different methods to be able to pass the state inspection/emissions test.
