I have 20" right now on the F15 with 275/315 setup. I'm not stuck on 22" but don't want square 275 and pay another 4
000 for them. I know it's the looks...call me shallow. If I won't get a setup below 22" with that staggered setup I see myself giving the green light on them.

There are tons of cheaper options for winter.
You can ask Neil for a quote 6477007599

Thanks for the contact. He was super helpful.

Any idea what the offset is on the 20" 509s?

I was quoted the same and passed on that! Pick mine up from the dealer tomorrow with 22's... Hopefully it doesn't snow any more in Calgary until i can figure out a 20" winter setup!

were those really winter tires or all-season tires with "winter certification"?

I am not sure you can get real winter tires in a 22 inch, 315 wide setup. same goes for snow chains

Pirelli (Scorpion Ice & Snow) 275/35/22 front and 315/30/22 back. Would not put chains on them for sure...

no chains would be a deal breaker for me as in some regions in Austria they are required by law.... Guess I am going with the square Setup, maybe putting on some wheel spacers to make up for the difference between 275 and 315 (40 mm per side)

Just ordered a winter package from Tire Rack to compliment my 22" setup. MSW Type 48, black w/ machined face, 20x8.5", mounting Bridgestone Blizzak 275/45r20 square. $2181.24 delivered.

I thought the factory wheels were 20x9. Does the 8.5 make a difference? Also, what was the offset? Thanks!!!

Thanks for this info. Will be needing a winter setup and this looks great. My question is that I’ve read the bolt pattern on G05 is changed. Did you confirm these wheels will work?

Guaranteed fit. Tire Rack is well aware of the proprietary bolt pattern on the G05. There were only two wheels that fit. MSW and the O.Z. Cortina, which sort of mimics the design of the stock 22" wheel, but I couldn't justify $490 a wheel for limited use. I had hoped my winter setup from my previous X5M would fit.

1/2" decrease in width won't make that much of a difference with this application

It's annoying that the BMW rim tire package is $3600 in the US and $6800 in Canada. Even with the exchange rate, it's 2,000 bucks cheaper!

It's for this reason I did an aftermarket 20" staggered setup with Pirelli RFT Scorpion Ice and Snow for $3300. The problem I have is the change in bolt pattern. I'll probably put the tires on a new set of rims.

Undersized snows?

Most dealers seem to have BMW G05 winter setups as 265 50 19 - the overall diameter is 1/2" less than any of the OEM options (all are 29.7"). Is 1/2" smaller enough to look odd and/or throw the speedometer? Most BMW snow options seem to be exactly the same overall diameter as OEM even where the rims are smaller in diameter.

I still need to double check if this fits over the M-sport caliper, I'm not sure it'll fit.

I think BMW dropped the ball on tire sizes.

If you compare the 20, 21 and 22 OEM tire sizes, the circumference is different for all of them.

this will not work, its for 2018. Tirerack is not aware of the bolt pattern change. You will need to return those

You are wrong on this.

The MSW has a 5 x 112 pattern and fit the hub as well. DrKev is correct and his fitment was confirmed by tirerack and my BMW dealer parts guy.

Tirerack did scan of a G05 x5 with msport and the MSW style 48, also 49, and OZ cortina also works.

Cheers!

I hope you are right. I spoke to tirerack today and they confirmed that they don't have anything for 2019 g05. When are you getting your set ?
