BMW Guide App quits on launch

I just updated the BMW Guide App on my iPhone and it just crashes and quits immediately on launch. Anyone else experiencing this?

you updated to v2.7.6? thanks for the warning. send a bug report.

I’m still on v2.7.4 which works fine

I also had this issue. Updating to 2.7.7 fixes the crash.

I actually updated to v2.7.6 to confirm behavior so I could make an accurate bug report which I actually had to do through the MyBMW app support since reporting issues on the Driver’s Guide app wasn’t possible. I’d like to think that helped get v2.7.7 pushed out quickly

krypttic I can confirm v2.7.7 works without crashing on launch

Yep, new version just installed seems to work again. I guess the problem wasn't that I needed a "real" phone...

of course it wasn’t. really dunno why DonKeedic replied with that

it was quite unnecessary

waitaminnit… Androids have less support than iPhones with BMW tech, so I’m ok not having a “real” phone

I had to delete the app, then re-download it, works fine now

I did that with v2.7.6, but it still wouldn’t launch.

are you saying you had to do this with v2.7.7? it launched immediately for me after updating
