where can i find a service manual?
For my Acura RSX-S, I had a helms service manual which gave detailed step by step instructions w/ pics on how to remove/install everything on this vehicle... It was so detailed, I pulled my motor and re-installed it using this book, and have never done this is my life...
Anyway, is there a service manual like this for the 07-08 e92's? Thanks, Dave |

service manuals don't usually include with new cars these days (with other brands too (I know for sure new Accord, Camry and Highlander). I guess they don't want us to be a mechanic at home. The only thing we get with BMW is the computer telling us when to bring it in

Bentley makes, hands down, the best service manuals out there-- in fact, in some cases better than OEM.
they are at http://www.bentleypublishers.com/bmw#sub162 sadly, they have not yet published on for the E9x -- so really-- this isnt any help....sorry! ---- BUT -- stay tuned.... |

At this time the service manual seems only available as a paid online service. But you can get the parts manual (ETK) on CDROM, which has many exploded views, and the wiring manual (WDS), which runs within Internet Explorer. Both are for the entire BMW line and not just E9x. Do a search on Ebay.
Don't know why BMW has to make it so hard to get the manual. I was looking for info on a new Nissan and found you can download the entire factory service manual for free (100 Mb of PDF files, complete with cartoon characters depicting trouble shooting procedures). |
