If you can get through ID.ME and generate the certificate, that’s all that matters. lol. No questions asked after that… that’s my experience at least.

That is the way it should operate. Some dealers still want to verify eligibility on their own but usually if you show them the certificate they will eventually relent. I think we only had one member who had to get BMWFS involved because they refused to give him the incentive because he was not active duty. They had no idea what they were doing.

As an aside, I always recommend using either TrueCar's military site of NFCU's TrueCar site to get the certificate versus using BMW's due to the ease of getting the certificate immediately.

Don’t they keep these incentives for at least a quarter? Especially for the holiday season.

No. Traditionally the domestic military incentive is adjusted once a year in January so this was unusual. Other incentives are monthly.

Let us know how things turn out.
Took a 3 mo. hiatus to think this all over and wanted to close the loop with you guys, as I am grateful for all the food for thought previously provided. BMWFS gave me a 3 mo. extension on my 2021 X5 lease which now expires 11/2023. Have decided to purchase out the lease and wait until next year to see how 2024/2025 X5 model leasing rates turn out and hopefully parts/options and prod slots stabilize too.

Spoke with dealership, BWFS and my bank (FNB).

1) BWFS is offering 6.99% (60 mo.) term
2) Dealer is offering 8.79% (60 mo.) and 9.39% (72 mo.)
3) Bank (FNB) is offering 6.34% (60 mo.), 6.94% (72 mo.)

I get the feeling my dealership wants to scare me into going in for a new lease while they in turn buy off my vehicle and sell it out at a profit.

For context, my 2021 X5 with M Sport Line, Premium Package has 19K miles on it. Contract Residual Value = $39K. Market Selling Value est. from Auto Trader = $55K, KBB Private Party est. = $51K

Love the car I have. No compelling reason to upgrade. Just like I skipped my iPhone upgrade this year, I'm skipping a new lease.

Definitely skip the new lease, especially with those rates. Current finance and lease rates are ridiculous. Just purchased a fully loaded 330e for the wifey last weekend and was able to secure a 5.29% for 60 mos through BMWFS. I thought that was already ridiculous, but my credit union couldn't beat it either since their rates was just as high. Sign of the times I guess If it wasn't being used for business purposes and couldn't write off the payments, I would've probably passed on the new purchase altogether.

Smart of them to adjust it a quarter ahead then.

Your dealer wouldn’t match BMWFS rate? I thought they could markup only 1% but for competitive reasons would usually match the base rate. Never knew someone could call BMWFS and go through them for a quote separately! TFTI

For new vehicle loans it is not possible. BMWFS will absolutely not discuss rates with prospective customers and will always refer them to a dealer. Used vehicle loans may be different although have not looked into that.

Yes. Since this is a lease buyout, BMWFS has a dept that you can work with directly. I think it comes down to whether you want to transact in-person (Dealer) or are comfortable doing it all online (BMWFS). I'm still waiting for my dealer to respond back as to why his rates are significantly higher than BMWFS. Last time he claimed it was because my vehicle is not "CPO". Then why would BMWFS not care CPO or no CPO. Don't make sense.

Kinda disappointed my dealer raised rates on me this way, considering this is the 3rd BMW I've purchased through him in last 10 yrs.

Welcome to the forum. Not enough information to say whether it is a good deal or not. We will need MSRP, MF, dealer discount, any add ons, fees, etc. But why bother? You were happy with it enough to proceed so might as well forget about the deal and look forward to enjoying it.

Unless you have very bad roads and are getting the 22's, possibly 21's, there would be no need for the tire and wheel in may opinion.

As far as the configuration goes, looks like you are missing some options that many consider must have. DAP and the Parking Assistance would be two of them.

I just listed in the member classified for a 2024 M60i MSRP 106K, monthly pretax is 1385. 3.5K was due at signing, but did use max MSD's of 7 which dropped the payment about $50 pre tax. Looking to transfer this lease if interested. Since I might move it without anything due to me upfront other than the MSD's, it would almost be at the price you're paying (5000/36 + 1202 = 1340). And mine does include the BMW lease wear and tear which without would actually make it a less payment than yours had I not gotten it.

8-10% pre-incentive.

If they don't want to deal find a broker.

Just had someone in your area post recently that they checked with 20 dealers throughout the region and I think he said the best he could get was 7%. That said I don’t think he mentioned the model. For the 40i you should be able to get the discount mentioned above with a little work/broker.

In general the 50e discounts are lower, in some cases non-existent, but in your area I have recently seen brokers in the 7/8% area.

My dealer's website shows 2.99% for 60 months. But they told me that I am not eligible for those rates as I am buying under business name. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. It is a special sakes event so perhaps it is limited. You might want to contact another dealer and see if they offer it and if so, let your dealer know.

My son really wants rear heated seats on the X5. They are hard to come by without ordering. One dealer will dealer install it to make the sale. Should i do it?
