I just upgraded my phone from a Galaxy fold 4 to a Oneplus Open. When we took delivery of the car, the dealer set my wife's phone as the primary and shared the digital key with me as a secondary. This was all done through Samsung Wallet.

As mentioned, I moved away from Samsung to Oneplus, who made a big deal out of their partnership with BMW. Unfortunately, when we share the key from my wife's phone, I get a"this phone is not compatible" message when trying to activate the shared key on the Oneplus open.

I have contacted Oneplus support and they are investing but I think there may be some translation issues slowing things down. Figured I would ask here and see if anyone has had success activating a digital key shared from the primary owner on a Oneplus Open?

I guess things could have recently changed but last announcement I saw from BMW it was not on the supported device list.

Hmmm. During the Oneplus Open product reveal, Oneplus highlighted the partnership they had with BMW. Also says Oneplus is compatible here https://faq.bmw.com.au/s/article/Digital-Key-Verf%C3%BCgbarkeit-%C3%9Cbersicht-kompatible-Ger%C3%A4te-und-L%C3%A4nder-XvmOO?language=en_AU. I can't find the US version of the article (this is AU).

I have read people having sucess setting it as the main digital key but not as a shared key.

Not sure it matters but I have a 2024 x5 50e.

Whelp....I sent mail to the BMW genius and they confirmed the Oneplus Open is not compatible. Super bummed because they made a big deal about the partnership with BMW. I guess I will wait patiently for a future update 😞.
