Is it a good time to buy 2023 X5?

2024 model is in production now. I went to one of local dealerships for a brand new 2023 X5. They only gave me $1,000 discount + another $1,000 discount (if I do the financing).

I checked another local dealer's inventory. They have over 20 2023 model X5 in stock, meanwhile 3 2024 model are already in production.

I am not sure how much discount I could get for a 2023 model at this moment. I assume dealers are rush to dump 2023 models? How will dealer deal with the new 2023 model that haven't been sold?

In the UK I see dealers selling stock pre-LCI cars even after LCI's are also available for sale with previous BMWs - they rarely seem in a panic to dump pre-LCI stock.

There's always customers that will take a pre-LCI version if its the right colour/spec/a little bit cheaper. Like you, I always expect them to slash prices in a bid to get rid of them but it doesn't seem to happen that way.

Consider this - BMW produce pre-LCI cars right up to the point they switch to LCI cars, so the business must believe the demand is there for those cars and some crossover must be expected. Otherwise they would cease pre-LCI production months before LCI starts...

I see brokers advertising 10% off 2023 X5s.

Edit: 10% pre-incentive.

I have 12.7% off my M50i ordered in January delivery next month, you couldn't get that 6 months ago.

US - the 2023s are almost all dried up.

No broker inventory either.

Unless someone knows otherwise?

Thats a great discount - that sort of level hasn't been the norm since the pandemic.

Agree and was surprised, it was off carwow from Snows of Portsmouth, they had a stock one at their Isle of Wight dealers with 13% off but wasn;t specced to what I wanted.

In US, $2000 over all discount on 2023 now is not great at all. In my location, people even get $3-4k at the peak of supply chain issue period. Car demand is lower now, if there are 23 left, I would expect a lot more discounts than $2k

There's been some slightly higher than usual discounts on pre-LCI models in Germany, although those were mostly through very good leasing deals so the sticker was the same and the discount was a bit "hidden".

I'll say yes. When I was searching for my solution online, I also found https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-ca...ian-dollar-cad which assisted me in locating online casino sites where I can profit greatly. I became interested in that website because I am having money issues.

I think 10% off is a good start. If not, try a broker, they seems to be getting at least that much. If you are serious, it’s worth the broker fees.

+1 on broker

It’s slim pickings for X5 in SoCal. The ones near me have almost no options. Dealer only offered a couple grand off. Ended up ordering a 2024 through a broker.

Keep in mind we are not the typical client. Suspect only a small percentage of potential buyers know or care about difference LCI vs pre-LCI.

I actually think few outside of here prefer pre LCI over LCI. I was just at dealer, checking out new car while waiting for loaner, the immediate impression of LCI is new/modern/fancy. Most people will for sure prefer LCI if they see the car side by side, especially xline trim

You are obviously buying one, nothing wrong with pre-lci and all those lovely buttons. I picked mine up yesterday and definitely made the right choice.

No I am not buying. I have 22 with only 7500ish miles. Good price and low interest in loan. I don’t see a good reason to change. But if I am buying today, definitely LCI over pre LCI.

I am way over new car smells for years. I bought new only because I need. My emotion level car shopping list is, from top: NA1 NSX from 90s, carerra no newer than 997.1, e90 M3

Probably not a good time to buy if financing and higher interest rates can put you in a an uncomfortable position. Otherwise, probably as good as any as long as you can find what you are looking for.
