Which interior = luxury?
The Genesis GV80 thread went on much longer than I would have thought but then again, we are car enthusiasts. Sure, we can be very happy with the X5 but why would that stop us from engaging in discussions on other brands? We like cars and we like seeing and talking about them.
So, to that end, which one of these equals what you would consider luxury? Pls use the numbers in the upper right corder of the pic to vote in the poll. You can vote for more than one. . Last edited by Marty in NY; 02-02-2020 at 07:25 AM.. |

I'm no expert, but #2 looks like #2.

Wow, there are a ton of ugly interiors out there. I don't equate the look of an interior with luxury. To me they are two different facets that work together. The design draws the eye and then the materials and functionality add the luxury aspect. If I had to choose from them I would go with #5.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I intentionally stayed away from anything BMW for obvious reasons. Don't forget to vote in the poll.

There is what I will randomly perceive as "luxury" and then there is what I would actually get for myself, and from these pictures those would not be the same. I voted as instructed for "luxury".

Luxury encompasses touch and feel as well as functionality. High quality materials, comfortable seats, technology, etc. One thing I'll say, seeing the GLE interior side by side to the other interiors, it's really not an attractive interior. I remember really liking it when I first saw it but sheesh, it already looks old. Also, you have to think, how many of these votes are influenced by the fact that people know which brand each interior belongs to despite your efforts to mask the logo.

What's with the early 2000's Lexus interior compared to new cars? Would make more sense to use a picture from a new GX or LX.
As to #5 (Audi) being the most popular, I'm a bit surprised, I really dislike the new Audi interiors ever since they gave up the MMI controller and switched to a dual touch screen system with incredible amounts of ugly piano black plastic in the interior. Although I guess technology can be associated with luxury now more than ever.

I thought I'd let this poll percolate a few days and then post which interiors are from which cars. A few more days ought to do it, there have been 61 respondents so far and the leaders haven't changed much from the start.

The poll as stated is not about the interior *you like*, it is about what you perceive as luxurious: "which one of these equals what you would consider luxury?" Not the same thing.

Not gonna lie, one of Cadillac's best efforts in a long time, however, the jury's still on materials and quality.
