UK Petrol and Diesel cars ban by 2035 - Performance cars?

So with the announcement of the UK government bringing forward the Petrol and Diesel cars ban(including hybrids) by 2035, I'm wondering how this is going to fare with the performance cars? i.e BMW M, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin etc...
Trying to find info on this on the net is extremely difficult.

Are they all going to have to go electric or are they just going to loose business in the UK? I'm all for going electric day to day but have I just lost the chance to have my dream supercar?

i don't think its possible. poor people depend on cheap $2k cars that they or someone they know can fix. that simply doesn't exist with electric cars.

So will gas and diesel as we know it continue at full production models or will there be a transition away from them leading up to this date. The average life expectancy of modern car is about 12 years, so does that mean that ICE vehicles sold up to 2034 will be allowed to run their full life expectancy?

Now that the UK has their own trump in charge, maybe he'll roll it back.

Most likely a goal for stop production of ICE unless it was stated otherwise.

This is fantasy land. Every electric car loses money, every one, they are being subsidised by ICE vehicles right now. No way they will be ready to take over in 15 years.

Neither. They will sell electric vehicles where there is need for them and other types of vehicles where those are appropriate.

There is no requirement to "go electric". It does not have to be a light switch that gets flipped. You are talking about a decade and half into the future. By that time, every manufacturer is going to have a range of electric vehicles to choose from, including vehicles for enthusiasts from brands that cater to that segment of the market.
