Question for those who’ve been to Germany
I’m going on a vacation with my girl and I need to know how long it actually takes from Munich to Nurburgring if I floor with M3 equivalents. Can anyone share good route? Will be leaving early in the morning.

If I remember correctly, it was around 5 hours. But keep in mind that's also dependent on road construction. I remember taking all Autobahn to get there. On the way back, I went through Stuttgart instead to visit Porsche and MB museum.

With a girl it "always" takes longer than you ever imagined .

Also, make sure you make a reservation for the Welt's factory tour (super cool). |

Yeah that’s the first thing we’ll do after arriving in Munich.

My girl says she’ll be fine as long as we are both alive.

It was about 4-5 hours and 4 laps around the ring in a rented E92 set me back around 850. Have fun and burn some gas!!

You could make it within 4 hours at no rush.
If you plan to go Green Hell with a loaner, ensure that the renting police is covering this, when you cause any damage (your fault or not), it could cause you many troubles.

As a German I would guess the travel time might be between 5 and 6 hours, strongly depending on the time when you're traveling. There are some of the most crowded parts in Germany on your route.
If you're not strongly limited with time for your stay I would suggest to stop in between and see something of Germany ... Stuttgart: MB Museum or even better: Porsche Museum ... old cute German cities nearby ... have some German dishes ... take some roaded through the countryside ... 550 km on the Highway might sound nice but could be boring if there is too much traffic ... |

I know I’m may well be the odd one out but I found the Welt to be very underwhelming. It’s a big car dealer showroom.
The Museum was good though! |

5.5 hours in a Polo with 2 bathroom breaks.
Hopefully I can go back again! It was freaking awesome!

Agree on the Welt but I found the museum underwhelming too. Not enough M cars, was hoping to see every generation of every M model, but they have more i8s than Ms there.

I reserved an M5 at the Welt, but looking at Google maps a couple of nights before, there was so much road construction that it wouldn't have been much fun. We ended up cancelling the reservation. The Welt was okay; museum and plant tour were much more interesting.
