In europe you can order it, delivery foreseen end of 2019 - beginning of 2020 already by now.
I have been looking at it but I wanted to have something special and so far, nothing is possible it seems in terms of going for special colors or having specific leather with different colored stitching ... kind of sad really The factory that builds it in US apparently cannot handle special requests and no timing just yet to when this would become possible. For my 4 GC Frozen Grey Individual, they transported it from one factory in Germany to another factory (M factory) to put the color on and transported it back to continue working on it. I assume that it's too much now to ship it to germany for the color and then ship it back to continue working on it. It does suck imho, I would like to get something special and it's, according to BMW, impossible. They should really stop advertising individualization ads on their websites because they aren't capable of doing anything for me in this case. https://www.bmw-m.com/en/fastlane/bmw-individual.html "the expression of personality" the same boring color as everyone else has? give me a break |

Perhaps MY20. Actually, not just "perhaps", actually "planned":
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686 "Can you guarantee that all of these models will come to market? - No. Can you tell me where you found this info? - No." Upcoming new models: - These are just US market models, EU is simply too varied to type in all combinations. 2020 G05 X5 - sDrive40i (B58TÜ, 335hp) - xDrive45e (390hp) - xDrive M50i (N63TÜ3, 530hp, replacing xDrive50i) I'm hoping for MY20 for the Hybrid. My lease expires next February and if it's not out by then, I have to go with the M50i. Aaaargh! Last edited by 760Lifan; 02-14-2019 at 04:59 PM.. |

Yeah, the info I posted is "unofficial' and if you go by when googling, they say indeed MY21. I'd love to have a "special" X5 and the Hybrid is interesting. Of course, the M50i is tempting as well. I see things positive so if there won't be a Hybrid available a year from now, I have a good excuse opting for the V8. |

I used to drive an E60 M5 and it's quite amazing how far these engines got since then. The G05 50i is actually faster than my former M5 and a better value as well. My fully loaded M5 was $100K 12 years ago and if you consider what features/technology/performance you get today on the G05 50i for the same $100K, call me impressed! Now, on an SUV, I don't think the M50i with 530HP would leave me with much desire to go for the real X5M. That's probably where the SUV-limitations kick in at some point and where you start paying just for the badge. |

I'm very interested in the actual range. My recent early return 2018 530e was touted at 30 electric mile range but I typically only got 16-19. Over the 10 months I had it I averaged an impressive combined 50 mpg.
The combined promised 390 hp will impress.

Did you recharge your 530e to get that MPG on a regular basis? At 50 MPG, I assume so. Curious what the MPG would be without using the plug-in feature (like a regular Hybrid). |

I am also very interested in hybrid version. I test drove 40i and 50i. I prefer my 35d over 40i (I guess it is diesel torque), 50i was fantastic, but I am too cheap to spent that much money on the car and the gas. Diesel would be the best for towing my 7,000 lbs trailer, but maybe hybrid will provide similar experience like diesel.
My wife drives 530e. I am not impressed with this drive train. Hopefully, 6 cylinders will make the difference. |

had an offer made yesterday. 96K (Euro)... well anyhow, have to see how it drives and in reality what the range is electrically before I order anything. don't want to spend 96K on a hybrid car, if the real range is like 30km... and for the rest have to spend 14l/100km... So let's see what reality is. There is also a 530e Touring on the way. Now if that would be a 6-cilinder and 70km range... that would be interesting... but ok, back to reality... probably 4-cilinder (like the 530e Berline) and 30km or less... https://insideevs.com/bmw-530e-touring-phev-spied/ |

FYI--I read somewhere earlier that the PHEV G-series cars were having a delayed USA introduction because of mods needed to the ICE part of the drivetrain to meet SULEV standards in California, that will allow them to get "carpool" stickers. It looks to me like CA is the major market for PHEV's in the US. In Houston, a dealer may have one or two PHEV's on the lot. When I look at the inventory at Steve Thomas BMW in SoCal, almost all of their non-V8 5-series inventory is the 530e. This is the dog wagging the tail for PHEV's in the US.

The only "special" color that interests me that I can get right now is Tanzanite Blue II Individual. I've never seen it in real life but after checkings tons of videos/pictures only, I think it will look great. I'll probably combine it with Extended Merino Elfenbeinweiss / Schwarz leather interior - not sure about inlay yet, that's a difficult one for me to decide ... Pappel Maser anthrazit-braun wins right now. I'll combine with 21 inch'ers for two reasons: 1) I want the tow hook which brings up CO2 level so combo with 22 inch'ers would make it > 50g CO2 2) The 22 inch'ers equal to torn tires in Belgium - roads are just not good enough for such big wheels / tires combination From the brochure: "An electrical system output of 82 kW/112 hp, a lithiumion battery with extended storage capacity and further developed power electronics for intelligent energy management give the plug-in hybrid system of the BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance unique performance characteristics as well as an impressive level of efficiency" "Its electrically powered range is now approximately 80 kilometres*, almost three times that of its predecessor." The * states: "The details marked * have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle and adapted to NEDC for comparison purposes. In these vehicles, different figures than those published here may apply for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions. " |
