Thanks for sharing

I look forward to X5 50e LCI, and this x-line looks good. I expect M Sport version to be better looking!

Rip Angel Eyes (on lights with laser). I think it’s superior to the cost savings LCI look.

Someone who saw the car in a closed room in Brussels mentioned that they asked the BMW reps about the odd looking tail light that was not lit up all the way and the rep said that it was broken and should extend all the way to the tailgate. Take it for what it’s worth but it sounds very weird that BMW couldn’t fix the light or replace it if it was broken.

My guess is that since the tail lights are LED, the camera is picking up a snapshot of the flickering effect. Pretty sure the light bar will extend into the tailgate.

Rotated the image slightly to get a straight view. My thoughts - I like the grill except a couple of things - the outer trim of the grid looks body color in the photo, I presume it’s some caused by lighting and the trim is actually chrome. I prefer chrome or blacked out but not body color.
Second thing is it appears that the grill is lit and I don’t like that look either.

It does look lit up, but also looks more like a satin chrome than a shiny chrome.

Definitely. BMW went from that company whose cars caught your gaze and drew you in to ...

that company that assaults your eyeballs with desperation:

I hope we get a peek of the interior soon, I'm more worried about how they decided to mount the new curved screen on the X5/X6.

I saw a few different cars in person at a dealership with the curved screen. The 3 series had it mounted the worse, with a random stick.

The iX was a bit better, with a nicer looking triangular mount.

The i7 did it the best, much closer to the dash, with a leather piece above it.

The X5/X6 is probably going to have the big solid triangle like the X7... not as bad as the 3 series, at least.

After my visit to the Auto salon, I had a chat with my BMW dealer. The model exposed in Brussels was a pre-production one, so some of the plastic pieces displayed ( for example, wheel arches) will be different (better?). This is why they did the whole setup like that, with dimmed lights ... so we do not see all these small imperfections.

I like it.
Not very fan of the DRL shared with the blinkers, and I hope the taillight is illuminated also through the trunk, but overall I like it.
Let's wait to see the interior, although the new air vent knobs (those of LCI X7) are horrible IMO.

Yes, the illuminated kidney grill from the X6 will now be available with the X5.

Hopefully it’s optional or at least there’s a way to turn it off

I have it in the current G06. You can turn the lights off in the grill. So, I’d expect that will be true with the LCI G05/G06.
