Not sure if non runflat all seasons are significantly better than runflat all seasons. Probably depends on the specific tire. In my experience, the Continental DWS all seasons do pretty well in snow and ice, but are not available in runflat.

Barring any future horrible experiences, I think I’ll stick with these tires until they wear down and then switch over to the Continental DWS.
My experience as well. They're a decent all season run flat - at least as good as my Pirellis. Again, not a dedicated winter snow tire, so I don't expect the same performance, but a good all-purpose tire so far, and surprisingly quiet.

Good to hear that someone else has a similar impression! I also agree that the tires are very quiet and I think the dry road performance is pretty good.

Not to criticize the OP, but I’ve been in conditions where even dedicated winter tires have poor traction. As has been said earlier in the thread, not all snow is created equal. I want to see how these tires do on ice and other conditions, but based on my experience so far, they are not horrible.

There is a specific thread on these Conti’s in the X3 forum with pictures plowing throw 12” of snow with no issues!

Anyone else have experience with these on snow?
not so good. Backend step out easily, if I am little bit aggressive on the accelerator and/or steering input.

Last week I had a new set of tires installed on my wife's X5 at 38K miles. We replaced with another set of the Bridgestone Alenza AS tires. I have to say the performance through the life of the tire was impressive for the type of tire it is and it doesn't exhibit some of the annoying traits of other runflats.

good examples that all-weather tires would be better than all-season tires. now if they only made all-weather RFTs in 20" OEM spec…

My previous car X5 with 20" All Seasons had no problem. I used to take it out when it snowed just for fun. I won't be taking the X3 out if I don't have to during the winter.

I have sport tires on my 22" X5 now. I am assuming it will be the same as the Alenzas in the snow.
The 22" are summer performance tire. They should be perform horribly and may crack below 7C

I am in MN (Eagan) and like you have the Bridgestone Alenzas with about 15k miles on them. During the recent snowfalls (including the 15in one) I actually thought these tires performed surprisingly well! Did you have your vehicle in traction mode (hit the Stability Control button off button)? I'm normally suspect of these modes making any difference but this one seemed to help me considerably in the snow.
