Many countries don't allow any tint (including a new vehicle from the factory) on any of the windows. So yes, clear glass is available, but it will cost a small fortune.

That's an interesting approach—no tint. Have seen them a lot in Europe. For me, the more the tint, the better. But, if you do get to the no-tint, please post pics...would be very curious.

I just picked up an X5 yesterday. Is it easy for tint shops to match the dyed glass?

that’s their job! I believe the privacy glass is about 20% (let’s in ~20% of outside light). you want to make sure going that dark on the front driver/passenger windows are allowed in your state. for example, Virginia’s is 35% for those front windows and none whatsoever on the front windshield
