Joe Achilles has a one week review up...

Title pretty much says it, a just dropped review of the 24 X5M. Enjoy.

Most entertaining for me was the 0-60 launches. Tire grip was great, zero spin. Thx for posting.

One tenth slower 0-60 is silly honestly. BMW added that weight to the car for no performance gain and actually a small loss. I know it’s no big deal and you can’t tell the difference when driving I’m sure but it’s the point. Car was heavy enough. They had to make it heavier and add bs to it and you actually lost performance. Its a bit ridiculous.

Some reviews have been quicker; although the 3.5ish he got does look to be roughly centerline from the reviews I've seen.

Reviewers have, for the most part, said the car feels more responsive but no less speedy. I'm personally not losing any sleep over it: My buttometer isn't going to notice a tenth whether it's real or not.

They probably added the mild hybrid for tax/emissions reasons. It seems slower based on this and other tests but truly marginally so. It’s good that the gas mileage is better!

Honestly, I did not pay attention to the one tenth difference as they may have been many variables affecting that speed.

My LCI feels as fast as my pre-LCI with racechip. At least that’s what my butt dyno feels.

Shift points are better and I think they tuned it so torque shows up sooner in the power band.
