I'm pretty sure there is a separate part number just for the glass shifter, it's $900+ US though. For the idrive controller, you'd have to swap the whole module I believe. You can get used ones for about $300. Too much hassle in my opinion, I opted for the aftermarket idrive glass.

I tried just the start engine button (from crystal to red in my case) on a 2024 LCI.
I’m not sure if the button changed or if my button just did not come all the way out, and the housing is still in there.

Hoping someone can shed some light on it for me. My original button came out (using putty) without any tabs. Just a flat back with a slight adhesive strip on it.
