A ? for those of us with OCD...
So Im waiting for my order to arrive, and I'm thinking how the Glass controls that I paid extra for and the gloss black buttons in center console are going to look with daily use? Do you guys have a microfiber and tucked away some where? Some kind of cleaner you'd recommend ?Is it something you find yourself annoyingly cleaning often? Or am I just psyching myself out ??? Whats the general consciousness out there?

they really don't get dirty like the center control buttons around them do. I keep a microfiber cloth in my center console to clean stuff

Amazing how well the interior of this car (I have matte wood) keeps. Also have a 2017 Discovery and have to use Zaino Grand Finale on the gloss black it seems every few days. For an off road rig, the LR is the most impractical interior there is (although the wood trim and leather dash is very nice).
Keeping a microfiber cloth handy in the X5, but mainly to clean the inside windshield. A film builds it seems daily using the defrost. 5 weeks now in car. Hoping it improves. |

I have found this happens in the last few BMW's I have bought, seems some type of greasy film (maybe from the outgassing process) builds up on it, seems to eventually get better after a while and a really good clean.

Noticed this as well and was attributing to exactly the same - outgassing. Also betting it resolves over time
