When they kick on you should notice the difference in how far the higher beams illuminate and depending on conditions that actual beams themselves. Here is an example:

I want to swap these headlights so bad. I have the LED Headlights but I like the look of the laser lights. Im sure I can just swap them out right? Would anyone know if there's anything that needs to be done like a software update? I don't mind spending the money as long as they work.

Looks like the wiring may be the same, there’s no question you’ll need to code your car to do this.

You will lose your warranty enev if you buy the laser light from bmw dealer because there is not yeat an agreed retrofit from bmw, i haved asked the to the head quarted ... one laser light is 3000euro list price from bmw romania, after that you ll pay the dealer incentive + the mounting of them ... i don t know how hard is to take the light out , i would try to take one out and put a laser light to see if it works, what i saw you need to take out the front bumper

I figured the car would have to be coded. But I’m sure the regular headlights and high beams would work without coding. Just not the laser lights. I spoke to so many BMW dealerships and HQ and they all say it’s impossible. I just can’t see how it’s impossible to install. The wiring looks similar. I don’t mind the money or the work to install them I just wish I knew if it would work or not. This may sound crazy but I just really want them for the DRL’s lmao. I hate the LED DRL’s. Looks like eye shadow or something lol. I contacted Schmiedmann.com and they sell the retrofits but not for my truck apparently. I see the headlights all over eBay and I just wanna purchase a pair and see what happens.

I want to buy it also but at every service we have to take it out and put the old one in, and it is very hard to take the lights out 🙈. The wiring is the same, just coding needed.

I agree with the idea of SallyBoy715.
I like the look of the laser lights not LED style.
I don't want a laser light, I like the shape of DRL.

My country has a right-hand drive spec.
When checking the parts, there is a “China-only” specification.

If this does not affect, I want to check it immediately.

Which part should be replaced with which specification? I would like to join this forum.

Sorry for the inconvenience in English.

YES! I love the DRL of the laser lights. I think its needs programming/coding for the Laser Light only to work. I think the High beams, DRL's and low beams would be plug and play as the wiring is the same. That's my hypothesis. Although I have no clue lol.

Is it possible to retrofit just the Laser lights DRL's?

I find the laser much nicer

that's what im trying to find out. I didn't know the LED DRL's were different than the Laser Light DRL's. If I knew than I would've ordered the laser lights. I don't care if the laser works I just want the DRL, Low Beams and High Beams.

For the cost of $4000 or so, just CARMAX the thing, take a little loss and then get a brand new car with the option!

If you could do this for under $2k, might make more sense...

He would probably lose $20 - $30k selling it to CARMAX, quite a bit more than a little loss.

You are delving into very dangerous territory. The complexity of these cars, including the integration with all the ECU modules, the high power nature of LED/Laser lights, plus programming/coding just isn't worth it.

If you make a mistake or do it incorrectly and you end up having to take it back to your BMW Service dealer, they WILL NOT cover it under warranty.

The LEDs look fine IMO and already provide really good lighting and vision, I'm not sure what all the obsession is with Laser lighting.

I thought.
This product is not an external product but a genuine product.
Therefore, I guess that it works with a little coding and ISTA + correction.
There is no guarantee.

If it does not move, there is only despair
