Thanks for the reply.

Well..you not being here is a great loss to the community, at least from my perspective. Yea some people think quite a lot of themselves. I just pretend im watching a clown show when i see them lol

Hope you can discover the brightness control. It will make our g05 much cooler.

Thanks

Just want to say thank you for this post. I have gotten to change my 2 tone perfectly and am very happy with it. Much appreciated!

Orange top, Blue bot, but on my car Blue also goes to Sky lounge (MY21 M50i). So bottom lights match sky lounge. Really cool so the bright blue can make the sky lounge max but not in your face like the top colors. Orange better for the cabin at night.

Thank you 130FeetDeep for this DIY.
Did anybody manage to ADD new color profiles. Basically keep the original color profiles and add new ones??

Since we are working with the assignments to the menu in the i-drive, I do not think this is possible with any level of basic coding. That said, we now have access to the full color wheel which is what I think most of us feel BMW should have given us anyway.

@130FeetDeep. Yeah sure, access to the full color pallet is awesome.
I had a Skoda Kodiaq before and they offered a bunch more colors, not all but 2-3 times more.

Again thanks for your DIY

Thank you 130FeetDeep! I was a bit nervous to use expert mode, but I really wanted that red. Your step by step instructions gave me the confidence to give it a shot, and within minutes I had it all coded. The red is amazing imo, and it’s a real shame BMW doesn’t include that color standard. The color combo’s are neat and to me are much better then the white/bronze and green/white. Thanks for the time you put into that, and for sharing it!

I am glad it was a help. The red looks soooooo good in the interior. Honestly, I am kind of shocked they opted for bronze instead of red since we have orange. Oh well, we found a way to correct that error.

I wanted to be very detailed in the DIY because I know it can make you uneasy when entering.

I don't have the B&W speakers, so I wasn't able to search or test changing their color.

That would be in RAM module.
Not sure if BimmerCode have the capability.
I code with E-Sys.

Could you share what ECU in RAM modules controls the B&W colors?

RAM is the ECU.
I don't have a note on which line, I remember it on top of my head, so when I am in it, I can find it.
Just search for Ambient, it should give you something.

Yeah- that's what I did first. The whole ECU deals with "ambient" something or another. There's literally hundreds of modules that have "AMBIENTE" in them.

So I bought a Veepeak OBD adapter but apparently it doesn’t support this function. Does anyone know which adapter I should buy?

Personally prefer the ENET cable + Ethernet adapter.

Quickest coding, and most stable connection naturally.

Edit: found some links

Haven't personally used any other but this looks similar at first glance

ENET Data OBD to Ethernet E-SYS ICOM RJ45 to 16 Pin Diagnostic Coding Cable for F-Series, 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, GT, X3 & G-Series https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WRG6BG3...UTF8&psc=1

Also, if you prefer wireless, you can go onto BimmerCode's website (or through the app) and they will show you compatible adapters for G05s with clickable links for purchase

I think this is still a work in process. I've been told on here that it can be done and that the parameters are in the RAM ECU. However, it's not intuitive to me which module in that ECU needs to be edited.
