And that would be exactly 1 day out of the 1,905 that we have lived here. No problem living in a new high rise. We actually endured much more severe weather, blizzards, crippling life threatening ice storms, floods, etc. while living in the North. Never, ever going back to that awful climate.

Maybe meet up down in Marco (boat down there) but I'm only down 6-7 times/year. No way I'd live there permanently, but to each there own.

Yeah, we had a place with a deep water dock and pool for years on Marco Islandwhen the pricing was in the realm of sanity. Fantastic place to go and recharge when working but a little to isolated for full time. Naples/Bontia Springs is an awesome place to be year round. Statisticly the warmest place in the continental US during winter. Kept a home in PA for a few years after relocating here
but rarely ever used it and sold. We absolutely despise cold weather with ice and snow along with the dead looking trees and cloudy grey skies 9 out of 10 days. It is sunny here about 355 days/yr.
Sure, meet up on Marco Island anytime, right down the road from us.

As a Minnesota native, I moved out of the snow/cold after developing a severe allergy to snow.

I've lived in the Great Lakes region (MN, IL, WI) and the northeast (NJ, NY) and the climate never suited my clothes. But summer heat/humidity would rule out FL or any southern state. And I don't like natural disaster threats either. Or areas seriously affected by climate change.

So all that rules out about 80% of the country.

Yeah, climate change is a bitch. I am old enough to remember the ferrocious bitter cold of the 1970s when the peanut farmer told us we were moving into an ice age and soon to be out of oil.

Has anyone used the D/S Mode while in town after a long trip, on the 50e?

The Manual says:

"eDRIVE electric driving and the Auto Start/
Stop function are deactivated. Rolling to a stop
and braking phases are used more often to
recover energy."
