Nice! I am thinking of doing the same but via Rw carbon ( same design). The vents on each side…the picture of the underside does not show the vent area coming through to the engine from what I saw. Where does the water go that enters the vent area?
Nevermind, I see it now! |

for the drain locations, its suppose to route water to the oem drain places, I haven't paying much attention to it just yet, will have to see. I assume the side vents yes, central one not too sure. I kept the OEM sound insulation piece for the winter... might mount it or just put it under the hood when car parked for some time (in case I'm out of the country for more then a week) as for RW carbon, I looked at them as well as you can probably understand. Prices were a bit higher, and design was close but not the same. I went different route as I was able talk them into paint match my hood, I don't have (I didn't have) single carbon fiber piece on my car so I didn't want to start ![]() I'm pretty happy over all, its not OEM and it doesn't fit like OEM but its pretty close, also you need to know that it might not be straight forward installing back all the hardware (again this isn't OEM) I'm glad I went with professional installer this time as he did some slight modifications here and there. Also we talked about RW and he told me he worked with their product and he wasn't impressed (fitting wise) this is coming from the installer, not me (I personally never talk to them or tried to install their products) few more closeups:

Your X5 looks fantastic! I have a new one one the way and am already getting inspiration from your build.
Would you happen to have a photo of how the Cargraphic tailpipes were installed on the muffler? I looked at their website but the muffler they use for installation instructions has offset exits from the muffler. From what I've seen, the US mufflers have the exits aligned (meaning equally distant from the rear of the muffler). Many thanks! |

Congrats on new X5 on the way! Unfortunately I don't have any closeups on that but as I probably mentioned before I wouldn't recommend these tailpipes, they do fit but require quite a bit of work by professionals, obviously they not plug and play, and needed to be welded on and lastly they just overpriced by much! If I have to do it again, I would just either order generic pipes from AliExpress or just go to my local muffler shop and ask them to find you 2 pair of pipes that will fit, you can probably go few mm bigger too. Happy moding!
