Do you guys know if theres an option to have the seats with the middle part back rest to move independently from the whole backrest of the seat?
I'm currently waiting for my X6 with confort seats with Merino leather and the importer tells me thats not available in my country, and on the configurator USA it only shows the straight backrest seats in the 3D view. I've seen so many videos don't know if its only outside the USA with the split backrest option. Any USA X6 have this? Thanks |

We took delivery from the Performance Center last week amidst a rainstorm, but still had a ton of fun! This beauty was the only X6 being delivered and was in the primary delivery showroom!
When we toured the factory, it was shocking just how many white or black SAVs were being made. Hardly any other colors. While that’s a shame, our garage looks great with two beautiful blue Bavarian babes!

Finally, she is here! Picked her up on Friday the 13th from BMW of Freeport in Long Island, NY. Lots of attention on streets. The rear of this car is my favorite. Black sapphire

I simply bought the 'standard' X6 grille in black, and when I examined it up close, it became fairly obvious how to detach the surrounds from the slats. There are are a number of clips around the edge of the grille that you will see when you flip it over and look at the back of it, by just popping those with a small screwdriver, the surround comes right off the slats. The slats are all one solid unit, and the surround is one piece. So once separated you just end up with 2 pieces. Removing the iconic grille is just like any other, with the addition of 2 electrical connectors for the illumination - you can only see those once you have pulled the grille off the car. I separated the surround and the slats on both my black grille, and my iconic glow grille. Then I put the slats from the iconic into the black surrounds (just clips back in). The lights and wiring connectors for the illumination are in the slats, so by putting the black surround on my iconic slats, the illumination works exactly as it is supposed to. Honestly, once you have the grille in your hands, you will see exactly what I mean and its a very simple process. |

With the iconic grille in black, does it have the same overall effect? I couldnt work out if some of the impact from the illumination the from the silver grille occured because of the reflection from the silver colour or not? |

Wow. Both look absolutely fantastic, although I think I prefer the full black on your set up.
My dealer tells me that if I want it black, they will remove it and spray / colour it locally and refit it which will be interesting to see. Have to say, I hated the iconic grill feature when I first saw it, but it looks fantastic the more I see it. Would love to see someone with a fully illuminated black grill. |
