Hello everyone ! Recently purchased a 2019 X5 50i that was at a very good price (compared to many ive seen on online market) very low mile 23k and in immaculate conditions, still getting used to her beauty and Power ! Big step up from a honda pilot lol all comments and suggestions are welcome..

Took me a while to figure out how to post pictures until i discovered there was an App !!!

Would think a this magnitude of vehicle would come equipped with heated wheel ...lol guess bmw its after the profit from additonal packages..

Really hope from the assisted driving options but hey for this price i cant complain after registration and ect she came in under 42k

Please excuse i dont know all the terminology for interiors, options ect but im here to learn..

I've been looking at the maxton front and rear splitters also the ikon motorsports ..so far both look really nice but maxton offers the side skirts

Theres alot of mods on the list but one day at a time

as for terminology, you have the X5 M50i which is on the G05 chassis, not to be equated with the X5M which is on the F95 chassis. my wife has owned bimmers since 2008 but I didn’t learn BMW-lingo until I purchased a MY21 (model year 2021) X5 and joined this forum

Yes youve read correctly i couldnt pass it up even if i tried, funny thing was me completing the purchase 2 interested buyers were there as well to buy it !

Well were on the same boat friend, glad i found this forum im sucking up info by the second and il adjust the X5 M50i part lol still getting the lingo down...thanks for the comment

The 2019 model was xDrive50 not M50

Whats the most accurate way to check ? Its 2019 to my understanding but i doubt the dealer would swap the badging on it....

I believe you should be able to pull it up with your VIN. I think the 10th digit in your VIN will denote the year or manufacture date. There's a chart you can search online that corresponds to this.

There are probably other members that can chime in for other ways or means to verify this properly.

Now i feel stupid.....i kept looking at the rear of the truck and thinking something was off, and its. the chrome exaust thing...🙄🙄🙄 just noticed until i digged more deep in pics of other M50's theyres are black not chrome...so its 5.0i not M50.....but it has all the badging and even says it on the speedo on the top middle....i shouldbe been more cautious but how can this have gone undetected by the bmw dealer......

P.s also states it in the VIN decoder

It still looks like a nice car and the difference between a 50i and M50 isn’t that big. Your price seemed way too good to be true… no way you’re getting a 23k mile M50 for $42k right now though, that’s at least $10k too low unless it’s a wrecked car.

I mean the price was what got me honestly..I JUST ran a carfax on her its clean, no accidents or wrecks and all maintenance records up to date. I mean im still in love with it ...M50 or not, I wouldve been madder if it was a 4.0 lol guess il just take this in the one in the chin... but thanks to this forum for the keen eye...i was oblivios till it was mentioned

For parts refence, theyre both the same vehicle and engine right ? Or they have different engines ?

Similar (both N63 engine) but different versions & tune so likely some parts differences

Someone has a good time coding this car. There is even a X5M cluster coded.

If this is a 2019, this is a 50i and not an M50i. The M50i has a different engine and while it shares the same code, it has substantial differences and more power.

Yes they did code a few things including the seat belt reminder and video in motion

Good morning everyone, had a while without posting due to going back and forth with the dealer and that hiccup with what X5 it actually was, everything was able to be resolved (after coughing up cash) obviously….now i can have i have an authentic X5 M50 !! Very happy and more content with the truck, many more options that the 5.0i , yet many more question, the truck is 2021 , yet doesnt have the soft close Doors or heated/cool cup holder 🤷🏽‍♂️Bmw is very Odd lol but i does have Massaging seats wich are freaking awesome ! Enough blabbing here are some pics
