Put in order for MY24 50e on Feb 28th. Just got production number yesterday, build got pushed to MY25. Currently status 111, called BMW Genius and they told me Week 18 build.

Maybe you got OP's allocation as he changed his order. Anyway, hoping BMW delivers on this Week 18 build.

As has been mentioned, it goes by the allocation not when a person ordered. The allocation the OP got likely was issued in November or December and from an order that someone dropped due to the delays.

That would be highly unusual if you could do that. You are listed as Vancouver and delivery times are usually 3-4 weeks.

It borders on insanity doesn't it lol. I honestly think I'll have depression after we actually get the car because the tracking and anticipation of it all keeps me going. My wife always says I enjoy the chase more than anything lol.

That cracks me up!! I'm right there with you. I've been in the order bank for a 50e now for a couple of months. On Monday, I decided to abandon ship and go with the 40i. It's for the wife anyway, so she could care less....it's more me! Anyway, got an allocation with a build week of 16. My SA told me that she would keep me in the hopper for a 50e, just in case she get's an allocation before I take delivery (which should be sometime mid-late May). At that point, I would have a big decision to make, and in some ways, hoping not to have to make that decision lol! Here's the kicker. Dealer offered 9% off MSRP for the 40i, plus getting military. If the 50e comes available, only 3% off MSRP. I hope to avoid this dilemma!!

I would say close to zero chance they will get an allocation that would allow for a 50e build in that timeframe so you should be safe.

That's a big difference in money. 3% to 9%. At least for myself that would probably make the choice easy. 40i. Especially if the 50e issues truly aren't solved yet. Good luck with your decision.

That's actually good to hear. Not to say BMW hasn't addressed all the previous issues with the MY24, it still stresses me out to think of me drawing a bad card. Plus, getting the discount...hard to pass up and it's super exciting!

Yessir, exactly my thoughts! It's just that I've thought about and researched the 50e like crazy, and really liked the idea of it in my driveway. I've had a 40i before (2019), great car....and I'm sure this one will be even more amazing!
