August Delivery Stop 2024
Hi Guys
Any of you been affected by the latest Delivery Stop issued in August. My new x5 has been at the dealers since start of August, now they have no idea when they can registered it due to this fault - said there are 58,000 vehicles affected. The dealers have no idea what's going on, or when they will here - any one know anything else? |

My dealer told me that due to the high port costs, BMW wants to target those cars first and will be fixed on site before the ones at the dealers will. As dealers will need to have the parts shipped to them and then schedule themselves. How true that is i have now idea but it kinda does make sense. |

I asked my UK dealer today if there were any updates on possible dates for the fix, this is what he emailed me back...

my dealer just emailed me with an update
Just a quick update regarding your X5, it is now in the UK and at Southampton port. Once the delivery hold has been lifted, it will be released to us. Regarding the delivery stop, we do not have any further information since I last updated you. |
