2022 Manhattan Green X5 M50i

My first BMW. Pretty nerve wrecking picking green from a 4 x 4" sq sample. I know this is said a lot about all kinds of colors, but really does look fantastic in person.

Yeah picking a color from 4x4s is nerve wrecking. Glad it worked out for you. You need to show off the car on your field. It'd look awesome.

I added some options today. Completed the crystal knob set with the volume button, and installed some ebay spash guards.
Volume knob was easy. I used the drill a hole in the old knob and pop out the center with small allen wrench method. Worked great.

I would give the splash guards a C+ in quality. Fit is fine, matches the contours of the car perfectly, but they could be wider. The hardware was crap which is typical with Chinese ebay products. I used some automotive trim tape behind them to help hold them tight to the car. You have to drill 2 holes for each, and they use existing screws for another 2 each. Fortunately I didn't have to take the wheels off to put them on.

Added the black badging to complete the shadow line look.

In this picture you can also see why the mudflaps are a c+ at best. They aren't nearly as wide as the tire. I guess you are really just protecting the side of the car and doesn't matter that it is still allows lots of splash up on the undercarriage, but still seems lame o.

Did the badges come with a template to help with alignment, or did you just go off the old placement?

The oem badges come pre-aligned so I just put a piece of tape on the bottom and left edge of the old ones, removed them, then placed the new ones in the same spot.

Nice choice. We picked up a near twin in June, but ‘21 x40i M sport here.

Same as OP, Manhattan Green Metallic. It can take on a pretty mild grey when in the shade and on overcast/rainy days.

Stunning! I'm still debating if its green or brown LOL. Either way the car looks awesome. Congratulations. Good choice changing the badge and new exhaust tips. Enjoy!

Army green was no safe bet.

(Just listening to Alice in Chains and this thread popped into my mind. )
