Stop/Yield sign detection on MY22 G05 with DA PRO?

Hi,

I've successfully coded the additional features for Driver Assistant Pro, such as Traffic Light recognition & the like. aSLA works as well. The only missing thing for me at this point is the Stop Sign detection (and yield) but I can't find any substantial info about it other than a few examples referring to FSC code requirements in KAFAS4 on older models with or without DA+.

Has anyone figured out the required codes in VIP, SAS3, MGU and KAFAS4 to get this working? I have a few theories and started tagging a few codes in a notebook to test further, but I feel like I'm missing a few.

I don't mind trying some things out as I am fairly well-equipped to do so. I have BimmerUtility as well as a number of other tools if that helps.

First of all make sure you have the FSC code for it. I am not sure if Canadian spec models come with it as standard if you do have it, happy days then do the following
Make a copy of your FA and change your country code from Canada to UK ( 812) then using this modified FA generate a new set of NCD files in the Coding Verification menu which is in the Esys section of Bimmer Utility then go to the NCD compare section in BU and do coding comparisons between the newly generated NCD files and your original files (which you should have saved from the car) for the said ECU's and the BDC3 module. I can have a look at my data comparisons and see what I can come up with.

UK spec X5's definitely have this feature enabled not 100% sure about German spec models but you could try 801 for Germany instead and eliminate RHD changes that you would get in UK spec models
Unfortunately I can't help you anymore as Australian spec models do not have the FSC code

You need the KAFAS FSC for GWW (Give Way Warner) as stated. If you have it then you need to code KAFAS (40F8).

Change (edit werte) VFW_COUNTRY_VARIANT_MODE to all FF as below. Copy and paste replacing the existing werte value.

FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF

I don't own a BMW anymore, and don't code, but thought that might help as a one off.

This is indeed sad news. The G05 platform community is forever thankful for the contribution.

Did you ever get this to work on a G05?

I'm assuming the FSC code example you are referring to is https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...4#post29621814. It would seem that if it works on an older X3 that it could be programmed on a newer model but obviously there are significant code differences. Any luck? And if so what does the functionality do other than recognize stop signs?

One of my friend from Europe told me that its possible there to order FSC code from BMW's dealership so i asked my dealerships parts department here in US and to my surprise no one including the parts manager knows anything about FSC codes the only FSC code they knows that they can order usually is for maps updates lol and even for that they process the request when it comes internally from technician.
After I activated TLA with your cheat sheet I'm also very curious to activate stop sign recognition in my car .

So, should 11 or FF work in every country? and what will happen if this be coded without FSC? Error message or somethings?

Thank you

In my case everything went well. No errors. Perhaps in your case the FSC code is required?

All to “FF” or “11” ?

And how about “WWA_country_variant_mode”, should it be “FF” all?

Thank you
