For future readers of this post,...and especially regarding "DAP"! Just drive an X5 with DAP for 3 to 4 blocks! Now, think about this capability long term,...like on a 600,...800,...1000 mile road trip! Like Turtleboy said, "You need DAP!"
Also,...just think, if one drove 600 miles to get there,...then one has to drive 600 miles back home! Simply put, DAP allows one to cover many miles without having to worry about lane drifting and physically having to hold the vehicle in the lane for hours and hours! Now! Surely this is exactly what we did for all previously owned BMWs or any other vehicles pre-DAP! However, I personally view DAP as a game changer when it comes to driving anywhere more than 20,...30 miles. And to be honest if I may,...I use DAP all the time!

Hmm I maybe I unique here. We have had DAP like feature in other cars as well, we use it one in a while as fatigue mitigation or if it know I will get distracted. It is sure a nice to have, but I would say it is absolutely needed. But then it is a $2100 option, not like $6000 EAP in tesla. Not even that expansive n the grand scheme

I honestly didn't realize it was this good when I ordered the car, I just assumed that it was just the next generation of lane keeping assist.
