I can’t remember the exact (bloated) price my spec was initially quoted at but I believe the discount amounted to somewhere in the vicinity of 11-12%.
The above options including the service pack are around $14k worth. (Edit). P.s I believe someone on Whirlpool forum paid 123k with 17k in options, although no one else seems to have been able to replicate this kind of deal (that has shared their success) and from my experience it would be quite difficult to achieve. |

Even at 130 your build would still be a good buy. If you’re willing to wait 6-12 months though, you might start to see the ridiculous discounting we are seeing on the X3 become available on the X5 (maybe).

I got 13.5% discount off list on a factory order 3d MSport with limited options, but I think list included a bloated dealer fee.
Need to be prepared to walk out and have a second dealer in the wings. Negotiate 30min before they close for added pressure and also a few days before end of quarter..... |

I’m being told BMW Australia no longer allows you to track your vehicle. So I have no idea if my X5 is on a ship, delayed weeks like some people, or otherwise. Has anyone else been told this, or am I being given the brush-off?

You can track it on a ship but not during production as far as I know.

Well it looks like our 2xG05 orders are slipping too - so I'm interested in any tracking we can initiate - advised by the dealer today:
#1 30d is now week 3 April #2 M50d is week2 of May According to the dealer much is attributable to our personalised specs which included on both the 418 Luggage Pack (which has been delayed in production) As much as it is an exercise in patience as long as the factory builds 'me exactly to our specs it'll be worth the wait |

Feeling a bit peeved that our North American and UK friends on here can track the build online and have access to a ‘genius’ that helps with anything but here we get told to go away and not worry about our 120k+ purchase... Rant over... |

I ordered my car this afternoon.
2019 X5 (awaiting delivery) - 40i M-Sport, Sapphire Black, Performance Pack, Cognac interior. Seat Heating and Wireless Charging. Taking a leap of faith not having test driven the engine. Curious what kind of deals others are getting. |

Let me continue your rant....
In my experience BMW Australia largely ignores their customers. Especially when you consider the additional information and services available in NA & EU. - we can't place an order online, - there are no options lists online - no options price lists available - not online or even from the dealers (edit: dealers now providing) - there is no order tracking online - no videos or additional explanatory information online - zero information on planned features for Australia - no information on towing options for the G05 - dash cams offered by dealers are out-of-date models - no information on how the driving automation features compare to NA & EU (where all the videos are done) - Australian G05 product manager, Ryan Begg, ignores complaints - in Victoria BMW advertises the X5 MSport at the snowfields where it can't legally be driven! the list goes on.... Thanks for posting the options pricing WantedAnM3.
When I ordered my car in December, I had two different dealers refuse to give me a copy of this document with the options pricing! It seems they were just trying to be difficult - all adds to the customer experience of limited information in Australia..... |

Try the team at Hornsby BMW, I have been happy with the sales and service department. They have worked on my F15 M50D and I am taking deliver of a new M50D in the next couple of months.

You'll always do better in the last few days before end-quarter.
Go in late in the day - so they are under time pressure to close a deal. Have a second dealer in the wings and be prepared to walk. 13% should be achievable depending on how inflated your options list is and their dealer delivery charges. It will help if you can include one of the corporate discount plans - but just ask for that to be included in the overall deal if you're not already in one of the plans. Let us know how you go - and good luck! |
