UK X5 need advices Petrol Or Diseal

Hi guys,

I owned F15 X5 Diseal in London.

Thinking to upgrade to G05.

Any advices on 30D or 40i? Live in NW London.

Already have a family car with 7 seater.

I would choose tech pack, comfort pack M sport Plus pack.

But dont want the third row seat, I have it on my F15, only use few time in last 3
.5 years.

Please give some advice.

I went for 3.0d MSport Tech Pack MSport plus with 22" 742 rims and pan sunroof. Artic Grey with Black leather. MPG is improved on my last two F15s 40.7 mpg ex works and 44mpg on a decent run to Yorkshire last weekend driving fairly hard. I'm based in South Bucks M40 J2.... driving in and out of London does knock the mpg as you would expect. I'd consider the 45e if there are deals to be done but not a list price. I went to Coopers Teeside to get mine at the time ( Feb 2019) they were much more competitive than local or Park Lane.

Thanks for the information.
Can I know what percentage you get from the dealer for your car?

I got 14.8% discount plus the paint and interior protection, full tank of diesel etc. At the time Sytner were reluctant to go above 8% and Park Lane 10%. I think you will do much better now. Happy to give you my contact Coopers if you wish.

Many thanks for your information, I think my local dealer will offer nearly 20% for stocks new car. Which will be on 69 plate.

My previous X5 was a 2015 35d. I decided to go for a 2019 X5 40i. It is okay, but I wish I'd had a diesel option... fuel economy was better for my driving needs. I'll be honest... there are times that I wish I had just kept the 35d, but I do love the technology in the new X5.

Yep I think the market is now at circa 20% discount on stock vehicles. Mine was stock but had not been built....it had been assigned a VIN number so could not be changed and was almost a 100% match to my spec.

I'm a diesel fan, I own a 2016 F15 30d and waiting for my M Sport G05 30d by the middle of october.
I had the chance to try the new 30d (G05) and those extra 60Nm (from 560>620Nm) of torque really felt great, don't get me wrong, the 560Nm of torque from my F15 are also great, in my daily driving there is no chance to drive too fast, so torque for me is more important than HP's
Fuel mileage per gallon is ridiculously high, I get around 9kms per liter on city driving, that's around 34kms/gallon on heavy traffic, when I drive to the beach, I almost double that

I really need a quite car and also parking in London for Diseal car are much much more expensive.

My last F15 30d, I enjoyed it a lot. The mpg is really good.

Parking is more expensive I think only for pre 2016 / pre Euro 6 diesels.

I could have considered my a 45e but I do not drive into Central London during peak hours enough to warrant one. Besides when I ordered it was not even a available.

I drove G05 30d and M50d prior to ordering. In the end I substituted my original order for a 40i M Sport to a M50i with air.

I parked my F15 30d at Islington and west end, they always charge addition for Diseal...

Thanks, I've found them to be competitive in the past, got 530d xDrive MSport saloon from them last year with 28% discount. 20% on a new model just shows what a tough market it is for them.

Enjoy the ride!!
