Can air suspension be stiffened or better upgraded with anti roll stabilisation
Having run my 7 seat g05 with the mandatory air suspension for the last few months, i’ve Realised the ride just isn’t for me. Before swapping out for either one with 5 seats and upgraded m-sport suspension professional or for the new sq8 vorsprung (with upgraded suspension) that I test drove yesterday and fell in love with...... does anyone know if my existing set up can be improved as it’s a fabulous spec car to give up but I just don’t like the drive - and before anyone asks yes I have changed the setting to sport plus which supposedly makes it stiffer but it makes little difference and is still pants imho.
Have asked my dealer who’s no idea and have Also asked AC Schnitzer and Hamann but as yet Havent an answer. If anyone can enlighten me i’d Be very grateful before making a decision to stick or twist. Many thanks in advance |

You may think different but I'd compare all 3 suspension options first before ordering. If I had there's no way I'd have stuck with air - M-sport suspension professional (a 3k option in the uk) is what I'd like but it's not an option with third row seating. |

On a 30d with less power it might be better to live with but it's woeful on the 50d with 400bhp. So much do I'd say it feels dangerous. |

same feeling here with my Air suspension.....to floaty and when you switch to sport or sport plus there is little difference.
Hope BMW come up with an improvement via software update. At least to make it firmer ins Sport plus |

To solve this you would have drop the car and put more air in the bags, all while making sure everything operates normally. This might not be possible. |

No feedback offered on whether the dampers can be stiffened but have promised they've asked Germany the question. Technician admitted it's floaty - even in sport - and agreed the handling isn't what you'd expect on a top of the range m-sport model. I'll speak again with the suspension specialists who think they can lower the car - and with a reduced centre of gravity maybe it'll improve. Ideally I'd love to see the car run at the lowest setting as it looks mean as but don't think anyone's cracked coding on how yet. Guess BMW quickly need to develop roll stabilisation like the Audi sq8 and 7 have on their Vorsprung model air suspension - the g05 it's simply a comfy cruiser until then and whilst quick in a straight line - cornering quick simply isn't possible with confidence or without feeling you're on a fairground ride. Highly disappointing. |

Lowest setting I'm guessing is another 20mm off sport. The stance looks great when parked - need to over rule the self correct. [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] |

Any one tempted? I'd also like the arch extenders 23" wheel and front lip spoiler but eye watering costs!! |
