Alarm Malfunction
Just picked up our new 2024 X5 40i today, super stoked about it (pic attached). Can’t wait to get the tints on it. Rain was a bummer today.
However, it appears that the OEM sunshade is causing the alarm to go off when the car is parked. Anyone else have this issue? |

Not the sunshade. Alarm went off all night long after I removed sunshade. Taking it back to dealership today to get it checked.
Super annoying, not even 24hours old. |

I wonder if it was operator error since a resolution wasn't posted to update the thread?

OP Update: There was an issue with the driver side rear door sensor which was tripping the alarm. The broken lock/sensor was making it seem as if the door was open thereby setting off the alarm. Our 1 day old car sat in the BMW service center for 4 days as they tried to determine the issue and fix.
Everything was fixed and no more issue. Phew. |
